DUTCH AUDIO REVIEWERS AND VOICE TALENT Rosetta Stone Ltd., the World's Leading Language Learning Software Company is currently seeking Dutch Voicing Talent for upcoming recording opportunities. Ideal Voice Talent candidates will have prior experience in voice acting, voice over, dubbing, broadcast, theater, film or a closely related field. Recording will be conducted onsite in our Harrisonburg, VA studio. Travel and lodging expenses will be reimbursed. Interested parties should submit a resume to DutchAudition@rosettastone.com. ROSETTA STONE DUTCH LANGUAGE EXPERT Looking for a Dutch language expert to do some work for us on a part time, contractual basis between now and May. The work would involve around 20 hours a week to be completed remotely (at the language expert's home or other off site location) over the internet. Compensation will be hourly based on a rate negotiated with the language expert. Language experts should also be available to travel to our Harrisonburg office for an initial 2 to 3 week on-site training. Travel and lodging expenses will be reimbursed. DUTCH SCHOOL LOS ANGELES SINTERKLAAS CELEBRATION
The Dutch School Los AngelesDutch School Los Angeles again is organizing its annual Sinterklaas celebration, which attracts many families in the greater LA area. Sinterklaas will arrive again in the Port of Los Angeles and young, and young of heart, are invited to join them in the celebration on Sunday, December 2, 2007, from 11 AM - 2 PM at Banning's Landing.

Bernard Picart (1673-1733) was one of the most prolific and talented engravers of his age. He was also intellectually curious, and a player in internationally connected social circles - some with a penchant for Deism and Spinozism. Together with Jean Frédéric Bernard, a French language bookseller and publisher of Huguenot stock based in Amsterdam, he published a seven-volume folio work that sought to capture the ritual and ceremonial life of all the known religions of the world: Cérémonies et coutumes religieuses de tous les peuples du monde (1723-1743)...

PROJECT 'HANDEN WAPPEREN' Op DV maandag 14 mei 2007 vertrekken een circa 7 Nederlanders namens de Stichting Oekroe voor hun eerste klus. De begane grond van een polikliniek gaat omgebouwd worden tot twee woningen. In deze woningen worden pleeggezinnen gehuisvest met beiden de zorg voor maximaal 10 kinderen. Deze kinderen komen of uit mega staatsweeshuizen of uit dramatische thuissituaties. De werkzaamheden worden uitgevoerd door Oekraïeners en Nederlanders samen onder het motto: "Samen sterk!". ART EXHIBIT FEATURING FOUR DUTCH ARTISTS The Coastline Community College Art Gallery's Grand Opening exhibition, "Watermark", March 14 through April 14, features four Dutch artists, Leslie Gabrielse, Marleen Felius, Peter Dumas, and John van 't Slot, in addition to several local artists. SINGING OFF KEY – Thriving After 50 – An inspirational book authored by Dutch-born Monica Lee. She is a nationally recognized artist, Playboy model, marathon runner, breast cancer survivor – and all after 40. No, make that 50! "I came from Holland in 1959 on the Ryndam. We arrived in Hoboken and flew to California. We lived in Panorama City and eventually lived in Van Nuys, Calif. None of us spoke English." Monica has come a long way conquering many challenges. Her purpose is to share her life to help others and to donate a percentage of her book sales to Breast Cancer research. DOCUMENTARY "MAKING CHOICES: THE DUTCH RESISTANCE DURING WORLD WAR II" Rob Prince, at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, has recently completed an award-winning documentary called "Making Choices" that features four participants in the Dutch Resistance during WWII. In the film Diet Eman, John Witte, John Muller and John Timmer share their incredible stories of courage and faith in the face of their Nazi oppressors. The film won the Audience Choice Award at the Northern Lights Documentary Film Festival and John Douglas of The Grand Rapids Press called it, "...wonderful...a quality production whose stories will keep you on the edge of your seat." LOOKING FOR RELATIVES OF DUTCH SOLDIERS WHO DIED IN JAPAN DURING WWII Teun Heijstek is looking for descendants and other relatives or friends of Dutch POW's and civilians, who in World War II died in detention in Japan and on ships in its territorial waters. "We are putting together a picture gallery of these victims, to keep their memory alive, for ourselves and for the following generations."
